HealthPoint Foundation
The HealthPoint Family Care Foundation was established
to "ensure financial resources that will enable HealthPoint
to provide quality health care to all citizens of its region,
regardless of their age or income."
The Foundation recognizes that without HealthPoint, 6,200 Northern Kentuckians
(28% of our current patients) would be without any health care because they
have no insurance, government or private. Many of these patients are in working
families, but are employed at low-wage jobs that provide no benefits. If health
care is unaffordable, it is unavailable.
The primary purpose of the Foundation is to raise money for capital projects
and to subsidize programs and services that are not self-sustainable. Some
of these programs are:
- The Pike Street Clinic for the Homeless
- Hispanic health care
- Prescription drug assistance for uninsured and
low-income patients
- Fee waivers for the poor and elderly
The HealthPoint Family Care Foundation raises money through:
- Grants from private foundations
- Corporate contributions
- Individual gifts
- Special events, including an annual
Cincinnati Pops benefit concert
at Riverbend
