Dear Mom to be-
First off, Congratulations! This is as much of a journey as anything you will ever face; however, it’s an exciting one.

Centering is a great experience. You will meet other mom’s that are going through this journey right along with you. One of the best characteristics of Centering is that you are grouped with people that are due around the same time as you. With this, you will experience a lot of the same changes and challenges about the same time. The group idea may seem uncomfortable to some, while others will have no issue with it. If there is anything that you are unsure about or need a few minutes of time for something that concerns you, you will have that opportunity any time it is needed. You have a great midwife that, while running a group atmosphere, will answer any questions anyone may have. The care and education that you will receive, as you will soon find out, is above what anyone would expect and at a level that makes you want to be there.

Not only do you have the doctors and staff at Health Point at your disposal, you have a wonderful and caring midwife, Mandy. She is beyond amazing! She is the most non-judgmental medical personnel that I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. Mandy doesn’t just tell you what you need to do, but explains why in a sense that is easily understood. This is just as important to me as being told what I need to do. If I don’t understand something and I’m just left to wonder, what good does that do for anyone? Mandy will tell you as soon as possible if she thinks something is going on. The health of your baby and yourself are more important than anything to her. This is something that you will see immediately.

Mandy and the Centering program helped me a great deal and I met some friends that I still talk to and our kids are now a year old. I hope you find it as beneficial as I did.

Best wishes on your journey ahead. It may not always be easy, but it will be worth it in the end.

Former Centering patient,

Kelli
